And that is okay. Kind of. I am squirreling in my projects again. Most of the things I have been working on for myself I have put on hold for a bit, while I get some Yule and Christmas gifts done so I am not overwhelmed closer to the time of. No one likes to be finishing their gifts on the drive to their parents house . . . . which may have happened several times already. This year I will be prepared! Honest. (hahahahahahahaha)
I started another Graham hat this week – Yarn Bee Dazzling
in Sunburst/40. I just could resist the sparkles and colorway.
Fair warning – may be making A Lot of Graham hats for gifts.
I do not know exactly what it is, regardless, it was
a cool sight for our Saturday drive around.
Today I got to go to the first annual Big Timber fiber fest! As this is it’s first year, it was a little small, but it was a lot of fun. My husband accompanied me on this trip, so he got to simply exist and people watch to his heart’s content, though I did hear him talking fiber with some of the ladies there. Guess he really does listen when I go off on fiber tangents. 🙂
We got to watch a sheep sheering demo – the lady sheering started because there was
no one else to sheer them.
Hitting the Crazies on the way back.
Yarn I picked up at the fest. The cones are mill spun, but where
a really good price. The purple is Merino/silk blend.
This weekend we spent at my husband’s family’s cabins – Deer Creek Cabins – continuing spring maintenance and post winter cleaning. On one of my jaunts around, I noticed the daffodils came back again. The glacier lilies have sprouts up every where as well. I predict that they will mostly bloom around Mother’s Day.
In further news, I finished the hat I was working on for my Dad – the #LOUDER – as he is a big Sea Hawks fan. I know little about sportsball all the things, but I think he will like this.I messed up a little bit on the on the Beastquake bit, but if you weren’t comparing it to the graph, I don’t think you’d notice.
